Ryan Havern Hegarty (born May 16, 1990) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman. He is currently playing for Frisk Asker of the GET-ligaen (GET). Hegarty was originally drafted by the Anaheim Ducks, 113th overall, in the fourth round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. ==Playing career== After playing for the United States Men's National (NTDP) Under-17 and Under-18 teams from 2006-2008, Hegarty played NCAA Division 1 hockey for the University of Maine Black Bears of Hockey East from 2008-2012. After completing his college career at Maine, he signed with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch, a minor league affiliate of his draft team, the Anaheim Ducks. During the 2012-13 season, he was reassigned to Admirals ECHL affiliate the Fort Wayne Komets. On July 30, 2013, Hegarty left as a free agent from his association with the Ducks and signed to a one-year contract with the Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL.
